Fillet web app and Standard marks

In the Fillet web app, you can download Standard marks to use for country of origin labelling.

When you select a menu item, that is, an item for sale, you can see an overview of available assets. You can decide which asset you'd like to use for your selected item, and then download that asset.

The assets provided are in direct reference to the Standard, that is, the "Country of Origin Food Labelling Information Standard 2016". ¹

Usage parameters

The following parameters apply to the assets provided in the Fillet web app:

No customization of appearance or color

In the standard marks, the bar graph or bar chart is "a visual indication of the proportion, by ingoing weight, of the food’s Australian ingredients." ²

For all assets in this release, the bar graph is shaded fully. This is because "a full bar chart to indicate that the food’s ingredients are exclusively Australian". ²

The "Made in Australia" assets in this release apply only to foods where the percentage of Australian ingredients is 100%. ³ Therefore, these assets also have a full bar chart.

No customisation or modification of text

There is no option to customise or modify the text in assets. This is because the text is a direct reference to the Standard. ⁴

No alteration of language

The language of text in the assets is English. There is no option to alter the language used in the assets from English to another language.

This is because the Standard requires that any words must be in English, except in limited circumstances which are outside the scope of this release. ⁵
